Young and Up and Coming – Sienna Brown

We love to celebrate the achievements of our Sacred Heart girls, and Sienna Brown (Class of 2022) is certainly giving us plenty to cheer about!

Since leaving Sacred Heart, Sienna has been making her mark in the world of horse racing as an apprentice jockey. Coming from a strong equestrian background, with a passion for show jumping and dressage, it was perhaps no surprise that Sienna found her calling in the racing industry, supported by her horse-breeding family.

That passion recently paid off in a very special way, when Sienna rode to her first race victory aboard a horse called Hadid at Tauranga — a mare she has been connected with since the very beginning of her apprenticeship, and owned by her own family. With her parents watching on from the course, it was a deeply personal milestone.

Sienna is currently apprenticed to trainers Shaun and Emma Clotworthy, and credits the guidance she has received from her trainers and fellow jockeys alike for the rapid improvement in her riding.

With big ambitions to travel and gain as much race experience as possible, we have no doubt this is just the beginning for Sienna.
