We had 6 girls recently compete at the NZSS Swimming Championships. The team of girls did very well and were able to achieve some PB’s amongst them. They represented our school with pride and maturity and were a credit to themselves and our school, placing 12th out of 57 Girls Schools.
This was a difficult meet for all swimmers who are currently training in short course distance but had to compete in Long Course distance for each event. We are proud of and congratulate you for your amazing achievements.
One of our Girls, Jordyn Williams had an extremely successful meet, competing in 9 different events ranging from 50 meters to 400 meters. She won 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals, and 2 Bronze medals. Jordyn’s success comes after a very strict training regime which often sees her training twice a day – early in the morning and late at night – as well as being expected to stay on top of homework and family chores.
Jordyn will now prepare for the NZ Age Group Championships. We wish you all the best Jordyn, with your upcoming competition.
