Four students attended the annual Māori Spirituality Retreat at Tyburn Monastery, Ngakuru with Mrs Bastion and Mrs Stobie on 7-9 December. The retreat focused on whakawhanaungatanga, mana wahine and learning more about tikanga and the Catholic connection. The group was especially fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the NZ Rosary Crusade, which they recited in Te Reo, and to be part of the Miha Māori (the 2nd Miha in the world at a Tyburn monastery – the first Miha took place last year at the first Retreat.
