Our rowing squad competed at the North Island Secondary School Championships held at Lake Karapiro on 13/14 March.

The squad have shown resilience and great teamwork this season in overcoming numerous challenges. This regatta was no different, as strong winds on the first day meant that most heats were unable to be rowed on Sunday. The decision was made by officials to row heats on Monday, with the top three times to be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

Four of our crews finished in the top eight of their categories which would have earned them a place in the final. This was capped by a superb performance by the Novice 4+ crew (Lucia le Normand, Renee Simon, Georgia Kendrick, Caitlyn Eagleton, and Rose Abbott) which earned them a gold medal!
