During the last school holidays, Alisha Smart, Y10, went to Invercargill for 5 days to compete in the Synchronised Swimming Nationals Competition, representing Waikato. She participated in figures, and presented both a Team routine and Duet routine in the Aquanauts category. Remarkably, Alisha came in 2nd place for her Duet. What a wonderful achievement!
Synchronized Swimming is a new sport in Hamilton, and Alisha joined her club, when it started early 2016. Alisha has been swimming from the age of one, has been dancing for 10 years, and is also an experienced Rhythmic Gymnastic in Japan. All her physical experiences came together in this Synchronised
Competition and all the training has definitely paid off!
