Studying abroad has been the most challenging thing I have ever done. I have now successfully studied here for three years. The school has given me a great education, I have formed long-lasting friendships, discovered new things and met many people of different cultures. I am more confident, self-reliant and have many new life skills. I feel a part of the Sacred Heart family.

I have enjoyed being part of my international community, the Pasifika community, and have learned and grown with them altogether as a young woman.

Learning at Sacred Heart Girls’ College promotes ‘how to be thoughtful’. I have been able to have and share my own opinion and be myself – totally different compared to my country. I admire the culture – there isn’t a barrier between students and teachers. Teachers are encouraging, friendly, approachable and we are respectfully given the chance to question without judgement. I am grateful to have volunteered in the community, been part of the school production, learned to play netball and made many friends.

I learnt a lot while living in New Zealand and studying at Sacred Heart Girls’ College. An important thing is there are many opportunities to learn how to communicate with people from different cultures. The students at Sacred Heart Girls’ College are friendly and willing to help others.

I chose Sacred Heart because I was so impressed by how kind and friendly the girls were when I visited the school. This allowed me to develop to my fullest potential, freely express myself, be happy and enjoy every moment I had here at school.
