House System

House System

Our House system helps to create a sense of belonging and allows students to engage with other students at different year levels.

All students and staff are organised into groups or teams of “Houses” vertically across the school. Students – your House is shown on your timetable.

The Houses are named after strong female role models from within the Catholic Church – women who were ready to take on the world. Check out their stories in the links above.

Every year, two senior students are chosen as the leaders for each House. This provides them with the opportunity to develop skills, including leadership, communication and event management. The key emphasis for these activities supports our culture of care within the school and wider community. Friendships are formed and team spirit is at the forefront as all strive to win the annual House competition.

House activities include a combination of sporting, cultural, and Catholic character events – activities that can involve everyone. Points are gained throughout the year, creating healthy competition between the Houses. The winning House is announced each December at the final School Assembly.
