In the senior years, students are encouraged to take up leadership opportunities. At Sacred Heart, leadership is about service, caring for one another, and celebrating differences. Our Student Leaders are role models for their fellow students and within the community.

The Student Centre is the hub of our school and a ‘go-to’ place for our students, where they will find the answers to any questions they may have about day-to-day life here at Sacred Heart.

The use of digital tools in both learning and professional realms is accelerating. Our young women must be equipped with robust digital literacy skills to thrive in today’s dynamic world.

At Sacred Heart Girls’ College, our staff have a role to play in fostering emotional intelligence and resilience in our students. We know the pastoral care of our students is key to their success.

He waka eke noa – we are all in this together. Students are expected to display a high standard of behaviour, to act in a respectful and courteous manner (towards all staff and toward each other), and to comply with school procedures.

Sacred Heart has a modern, well-resourced library and information centre. A full-time registered librarian and a part-time library assistant, both passionate about books and reading, enjoy connecting with students to help them research, source information and recommend authors and titles.

Students are offered a diverse range of experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom. This commitment is reflected in our comprehensive extracurricular programme.

At Sacred Heart we believe in a progressive career pathway education. In Years 10-11 we develop thinking in this space, with increased resources and support for Year 12-13 students.
