Our People

The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is responsible for the day-to-day operational needs of the School and, together with the Board of Trustees, sets and manages the School’s strategic plan. The SLT consists of experienced educators who have taught at Sacred Heart College and other institutions for many years, bringing to the team their own intellectual and personal strengths.

At Sacred Heart Girls’ College, our staff have a role to play in fostering emotional intelligence and resilience in our students. We know the pastoral care of our students is key to their success.

Sacred Heart teachers care deeply about providing a quality education for our students. They are subject specialists and offer a broad range of skills, experience and special gifts. Our teachers actively contribute to our culture of learning and demonstrate a commitment to the continual improvement of our school. Teachers go above and beyond to support students. The Sacred Heart Support Staff strive to ensure that our school is a welcoming and supportive environment for all. Support Staff work from different parts of the school, including the Notre Dame Centre, the Student Centre, and the Sports Development Office. They keep the wheels turning behind the scenes and support the smooth running of the school.

Our Student Leaders contribute significantly to the learning, cultural and social experience our students enjoy. They work closely together as a team, ensuring our Catholic Character is upheld as they lead through service and full participation in the life of our Kura.

Sacred Heart has an active and effective PTFA. The Sacred Heart Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is a group of dedicated parents and other interested people who donate their time to support the College community in a variety of ways.

Sacred Heart is a great place to work. Our staff take pride in what they do and underpinned by our annual professional growth cycle, they are constantly learning and developing both professionally and personally.
