The quartet competition was held on Wednesday, and our singers delivered outstanding performances:
- 1st place, Mixed Voice: Indecisive Quartet (Anna, Isabella, Pier from Hamilton Girls’ High School, and Yeonjoon from St John’s College)
- 2nd place, Upper Voice: Take Note (Lizzie, Phoebe, Anna and Christian-Ly)
- 2nd place, Mixed Voice: Middle Ground (Kate, Isabella, Elyssah and Yeonjoon from St John’s College)
On Thursday, the full chorus took the stage, winning first place in the Upper Voice section and finishing runner-up overall. HeartAttack entered this year’s competition as three-time consecutive national champions, a remarkable record. We are incredibly proud of these wāhine and the work, commitment and heart they have brought to this journey.
We want to give special acknowledgement to our Year 13 singers, Kate, Shannon, Celeste and Summer, who performed in their final competition for Sacred Heart. Thank you for your leadership, your voices and the example you have set for the students coming through behind you.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the chorus’s Director, the much-loved Lynn Jamieson, whose dedication makes all of this possible. Ngā mihi nui to the whānau who supported our singers along the way.
