On-Site Physiotherapy

This convenient service allows students to be assessed and treated during the school day, helping them recover sooner and stay connected to school life, sport, and activities.

The clinic runs every Tuesday and Friday from 11am to 3pm, in the Physio Room, located next to the Fitness Centre by the Gym. Students are seen at an allocated time and return straight to class — keeping disruption to their day to a minimum.

What Can Be Treated

The clinic sees a wide range of ACC-covered injuries, including sports injuries, sprains and strains, falls or collisions, PE and training injuries, and concussions. If your daughter has been hurt as a result of a specific incident, this service is here to help.

Cost

There is no charge to students or staff. ACC claims are lodged at the time of the appointment, and no GP referral is required beforehand.

Why It Matters

Getting timely treatment for injuries makes a real difference. Early intervention helps prevent minor injuries from becoming more serious, keeps students active and participating, and supports overall well-being and attendance. It also means parents don’t need to take time off work to attend off-site appointments.

What Parents Need to Know

A consent form is required before your daughter’s first visit. Parents will be contacted if any follow-up or further management is needed. Should ongoing treatment be required, discounted rates apply at the main Active Health Waikato clinic.
