    Kia ora koutou.

I have had the privilege to lead this wonderful school since 2014. In that time we have seen many changes in education and the world around us. What has remained strong is our Catholic Character and our Mission Charism. Our commitment to learning, leading, and serving is at the heart of the College and every day is an opportunity for growth.

    Ka nui te mihi.

    Kia ora koutou,

I am an innovative and passionate leader committed to supporting the growth of young people. I hold roles as a Pastoral Dean, Curriculum leader, Kāhui Ako Across School leader, and nationally as a curriculum writer and senior advisor for the Ministry of Education.

With a Master of Education thesis focused on innovative student-centered curriculum design to create a more holistic, integrated learning experience for our ākonga; my strengths lie in this space. I place great value on the role we have to play as educators in the growth of young people and am committed to supporting a learner-centered curriculum that places an emphasis on the skills our ākonga need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

As an alumna of Sacred Heart Girls’ College, I am excited to be home in the place that empowered me as a young woman and helps in equipping our tauira with the skills and confidence to pursue their passions beyond the school gates.

I have a background in Performing Arts and am well-connected with the wider Waikato and Bay of Plenty Arts communities. I hold governance roles as president for Tauranga Dance Incorporated, Dance Subject Association of New Zealand regional representative, chairperson for Creative Bay of Plenty chairperson, and now chairperson for Hamilton Operatic Society.

    Tēnā tātou e te whānau,

I am the “old man” of our school and I can honestly say it is a privilege to be involved in guiding our students in their academic, social and spiritual development. I'm involved mostly in the pastoral care aspect of school life, encouraging our young people to follow the example of Christ by showing tolerance, compassion and acceptance in their daily lives.

I have enjoyed working with young people in more than ten schools during my 30+ year teaching career, from 6-year-olds to our Year 13s. I’ve also worked outside education as a bible salesman, youth worker, restaurant manager, sound engineer and as education general manager for New Zealand’s Apple distributor. My passion for education has always called me back to the classroom.

I have two adult daughters, Hannah and Lucy; an 8-year-old son, Jah-rall; and a wonderful wife, Tania. I'm also privileged to have two mokopuna (so far!), Ophelia and Teddy. I strive every day to bring the positive benefits of my experience to this school and the wonderful students and staff that make up our community.

    Tēnā koutou,

I am a passionate educator who encourages both students and teachers to be the best version of themselves. I started my teaching career at Sacred Heart Girls’ College over 21 years ago and have continued to develop my skills as a classroom teacher with a particular focus on Health and Physical Education initiatives and Ministry of Education changes. I have led a Department and was part of the Senior Management team at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls.

I have experience in working for NZQA, and have been part of the Ministry of Education Physical Education review panel. I have extensive knowledge of Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) and have run numerous camps. I am married and have a teenage daughter and son, who are all heavily involved in sports. In my free time, I like to run, walk the Hakarimata with friends and watch sports.
